Churchdown comes together

April 28, 2020 5:58 PM
By Tewkesbury Liberal Democrats

Scrub BagsChurchdown councillor Mary Jordan has put out a call to local residents to donate spare material for making more scrubs bags for the Parton House Nursing Home in Churchdown.

Thanks to a huge (and very generous) response more people have been needed to keep up the sewing, with 15 people involved so far with more joining every day. The bags are now being sent to Gloucester Royal Hospital's ICU department and local paramedics, The Cheltenham Oncology and Chestnut Wards, and to Community Midwives. So far over 800 bags have been made so a huge thank you to everyone who has taken part so far!

It's fantstic to such a great community spirit - your local councillors will continue to support local groups and we will do all we can to help bring people together at such a testing time.
