Crowds on day four of the Cheltenham Festival (Tim Goode/PA Wire/PA Images)Tewkesbury Liberal Democrats back calls for an investigation into the advice given by the Government to allow Cheltenham Races to proceed despite the growing concerns over the spread of COVID19.

Despite reassurances from the Department of Culture, Media and Sport back in March that the fesitval should goe ahead, recently leaked maps from health officials have shown that the postcodes including the Racecourse and including Cheltenham Spa rail station, which many attendees travelled through, show the greatest number of hospital admisions for the Coronavius.

Gloucestershire Liberal Democrat Leader, Paul Hodgkinson said of the subject, "Clearly there's something going on [in Cheltenham] which isn't going on in the rest of the South West. This is all very worrying which is why questions are legitimately being asked now."

Please sign the petiton calling for an investigation into Government advice to proceed with Cheltenham Races today.
