County Council Byelection Churchdown Thursday 5th May

April 22, 2016 3:58 PM

Following the sad death of longserving and well respected Liberal Democrat County Councillor Bill Whelan, there will be a by-election on May 5th in Churchdown.

Jack Williams

Jack Williams is the Liberal Democrat candidate and he is determined to carry on Bill Whelan's good work for the people of Churchdown. Jack is an ex-pupil of Chosen Hill School and knows the area really well. He believes a good councillor should be visible and accessible to the people he represents. Jack lives in Churchdown and is keen it preserves its identy: he opposes the idea of houses being built between Churchdown and Gloucester on the Green Belt, joining the two. Active in the community, Jack is on the parish council and he will work hard, and stay in touch through regular FOCUS leaflets.
