Alistair Cameron, Liberal Democrat Parliamentary Spokesman for Tewkesbury Constituency has written to Jan Stubbings, Chief Executive of NHS Gloucestershire to express concern about the possible closure of Seven Posts Surgery in Prestbury due to its potential relocation to the Greyholme Site in Bishops Cleeve.

Alistair said: "The Parish of Prestbury has a large population and a particularly large number of elderly residents. Many of these residents will be unable to get to Bishops Cleeve or to an alternative surgery in Cheltenham."

Alistair added: "It is unacceptable for a Parish the size of Prestbury to be without a surgery, particularly as there is no accessible alternative for the residents.

"I am sure the NHS are aware of the strength of feeling in Prestbury over this issue and hope they will be able to ensure that a surgery continues in Prestbury. I would welcome the opportunity of being able to meet the NHS in order to discuss this."
