April 25, 2010 7:45 PM

Alistair Cameron, Liberal Democrat Parliamentary Candidate for Tewkesbury will be visiting the Community Pharmacy in Northway on Tuesday, 27 April at 2.00 pm in order to find out more about the valuable work which community pharmacies make to the health of local communities.

There are 7 community pharmacies in Tewkesbury Constituency

Alistair said: "Pharmacists are trusted and highly competent health professionals who initially undertake five years pharmacy training together with further ongoing learning in order to keep up-to-date with the latest developments. They play a vital role in the health of the local community. I want them to continue with this work and indeed expand on it."

Alistair will be discussing how community pharmacies can expand their role with members of the Gloucestershire Local Pharmaceutical Committee.

The press are welcome to join Alistair for this visit.
