Let us have your views on the Coalition Government

September 20, 2010 8:55 PM

Tewkesbury Town Liberal Democrats will be holding an open meeting on Monday, 27 September at the Elmbury Rooms, Tewkesbury Library in order to discuss the Coalition Government between the Conservatives and the Liberal Democrats. The meeting will start at 7.30 pm.

The Coalition Government was formed after the General Election in May when no party gained an overall majority of MPs.

Martin Horwood, Liberal Democrat MP for Cheltenham will speak at the meeting and give his views on the Coalition Government.

This is an open meeting and we welcome everyone to the meeting to hear their views.

Alistair Cameron, Liberal Democrat Parliamentary Spokesman for Tewkesbury will chair the meeting.

Alistair said:

"This is the first time Britain has been governed by a Coalition since the Second World War.

The meeting will give everyone a chance to express their views on the Coalition including those who agree with its policies as well as those who are more critical. We encourage everyone to come along to the meeting and give their opinions on the first four months of the Coalition."
