Alistair Cameron supports sheltered housing for elderly residents

Alistair Cameron, Liberal Democrat Parliamentary Candidate for Tewkesbury will be visiting the sheltered housing scheme at Brannigan Court, Northway, Tewkesbury at approximately 6 pm on Wednesday, 7 April in order to demonstrate his support for providing quality affordable accommodation for elderly residents or residents who have a support need.
Brannigan Court is run by Jephson Housing Association and provides affordable rented accommodation for residents who are over 55 or over 40 with a support need.
Alistair says: "Brannigan Court provides pleasant ground floor and first floor flats (it has a lift) and has a very good communal lounge where there are plenty of events throughout the year such as raffles, bring and buy sales and other fund raising activities.
There is a very good community spirit at Brannigan Court as it has all the best features of sheltered housing. Residents have the privacy and independence of their own flat but they will not be lonely as they can also take part in the lively community activities if they want to. I would commend Brannigan Court as a good example of how we should be providing quality sheltered accommodation for elderly residents in our community."
